H-piling beam welding.
Greene County, PA.

JJ Mobile Welding spliced sections of more than 40 H-piling beams on site to achieve the required lengths for a PennDOT project to repair an energy transfer road in Greene County, PA. The work was completed during the COVID period.

Scope: On-site welding of more than 40 H-piling beams
Material: H-piling structural steel beams
Duration: 3–4 weeks

The beam sections were joined using E7018 stick welding for full-penetration splices, with bevel preparation and back gouging performed using an air-arc gouger.

Passed on the first inspectionAn independent testing company performed ultrasonic NDT on the welds. All passed the first time, with no repairs required.

Washington Wild Things Stadium

JJ Mobile Welding partnered with a local commercial electrical contractor on a multiweek retrofit of all stadium light poles. Our welding work included electrical conduit fittings, handhole access openings, and mounting brackets for large electrical enclosures.

The job was performed from a large boom lift, using respirators, fall protection, and welding PPE.

JJ Mobile Welding fabricated and welded a conveyor support structure on-site inside the new Amazon warehouse in Imperial, PA. Built in its final location to the conveyor manufacturer’s engineered plans, the structure was assembled when the project team needed last-minute welding and fabrication support.

Scope: On-site conveyor support fabrication and welding
Duration: 3 days
Material: A500 square and rectangular tubing, ¼-inch wall; ⅜-inch gusset plates.

The project required submission of our AWS D1.1 welder qualification documentation.

We stepped in when the team did not have anyone available to assemble the structure, helping resolve an urgent need on a high-profile warehouse project.

JJ Mobile Welding fabricated 25 EV charger posts for Metal Supermarket in Coraopolis, PA. The posts were built from A500 square tubing and ¼-inch steel plates, with all holes drilled using a magnetic drill.
